Nicolás Avellaneda, better known as Avenix, has come a long way from his early days as an event promoter in Argentina to becoming a key figure in revitalizing the music scene in Búzios, Brazil. With an international career that includes working at top clubs in the Netherlands and Finland, Avenix brings a wealth of experience to his new mission: elevating music and art in his hometown.
The Birth of an Innovative Project: SOMBUZIOS
SOMBUZIOS is Avenix's latest project, a unique initiative combining his love for electronic music and his commitment to his local community. "The goal is to create a platform where local artists can showcase their talent and foster creativity in Búzios," Nicolás explains. Through events and workshops, SOMBUZIOS is already making waves in the city's artistic scene. "Búzios has incredible potential as a cultural hub, and with SOMBUZIOS, we want to make it a reference point," he adds.
The Road to Success
Since 2011, Avenix has been involved in the music industry, first as an event promoter at venues like Crobar and Pacha Buenos Aires, and later at major European festivals such as Awakenings and Sziget. "My experience in the Netherlands and Finland gave me a global perspective on music, and now I want to bring everything I've learned to Brazil," he says. In recent years, he has performed at iconic venues in Búzios such as Silk Beach Club and Privilege, helping to revive the post-pandemic music scene.
A New Vision for Búzios
SOMBUZIOS is more than just a radio station and music label; it’s a project with a community-focused approach. "We want people to feel part of this, whether they’re performing, producing, or just enjoying the vibe. We’re seeking an audience that values authentic art and music that comes from the heart," says Avenix. This project is already drawing attention from local and regional artists, and with its growth, Búzios could become a new epicenter for electronic music in Brazil.
